Required Riding Gear
The proper equipment is important to get the most out of your riding. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions as to the reasons why each of the following items are required or optional.
Required:
– ASTM/SEI Safety-Approved Helmet
– Long Pants (jeans)
– Paddock Boots (with heel)
Optional:
– Riding Gloves
– Breeches/Jodphurs
– Half or Full Chaps
Other:
– Water Bottle / Sports Drink
– Sunscreen / Bug Spray
– Change of Clothes (for full barn days)
In warmer weather, be sure to wear a tee shirt/tank top and sunscreen for protection. Throughout the cooler and winter months, layering is a great idea so you can remove articles of clothing throughout the lesson as you and your horse warm up.
